My songs are now available for download on Bandcamp

I have set up a website on bandcamp.com where you can listen to, download and buy my songs (set your own price).

Available now is the album by my last band, ‘Say What?’, which can be downloaded as a complete 11-track album or as individual songs.

I will be adding new songs as I complete them.

It’s all original material, sung and written or co-written by me, and the music is a mixture of jazzy soul, funky and Latin influences.

Band
All good things must come to an end!!!

Yep, you heard right, 'the 4th suit' are no more, it has been a blast over the last few years.

Sometimes you have to move on for the sake of creativity and to avoid the descent into stagnation!

I have posted the live recording of our support gig to The Vibrators (way) back in March of this year, enjoy it, though be warned there is the use of a particular choice and some might say offensive word!!!

The gig lasts about 30 minutes!!

Vocals
Still currently in physical form..and still singing!

I have been advertising for some time in my locality for musicians to collaborate with, and nearly always get asked how old I am?...hhhmm bad move apparently, in particular saying more recently that I was 102 years old in this particular incarnation, which evidently aint entirely true...but one becomes a little flippant when faced with such a loaded question! It would seem that ageing female vocalists are not very popular in Bristol at least, once I stated my age, I rarely heard back, which…

The Moths are back!

The old line-up just ran out of steam, but Duncan Wallis (vocals/ guitar) and Mark Deacon (bass) couldn't leave the Moths music alone, and thankfully, now they are back.

They have a new drummer in Geoff Pearce, and some new material which they plan to record very soon. The new material and band sound has a jazzier feel than before, but it still carries the punchy old three piece sound that those familiar…

Sacrilege are back!

The founding members of Kent-based 80s heavy rock band Sacrilege are back writing and playing again with three new band members. In the 80s, Sacrilege played the old Marquee Club in Wardour St. in London, and appeared on the David Jensen Show along with likes of U2 and the Stranglers.

Essay : Takers Economy : An Inquiry into Illegal File Sharing

I've been nearly completely inactive in my social networks since mid-July or so. Not that I wouldn't have liked to participate, but I have been engrossed in the redaction of the above essay.

When I tackled the project, I thought it would take a few weeks at most, and that I would be able…

Songwriter
Age...

What is 'Ageism'? Recently I had a reply to one of the intermittant adds I place on Gumtree, where in my middle-aged angst I still search for the John to my Paul. A man rang and sounded perfect. I mentioned ,rather guiltily, that I was in my early fifties', he replied airily, "oh that's fine, I'm seventy".  Seventy! I instantly recoiled from that staggering fact, rather like a seventeen year old, I presume, would recoil from me. Why? The generation that bore us, Oh my Brothers and Sisters,…
