New Year's resolutions

Started this year with the determination to learn lots of famous covers and have amassed many backing tracks to work with.  There are so many good songs that I haven't explored yet.  Not looking at forming a band at the moment as have plenty to do at the moment, although I would consider working on a project if it caught my imagination. If you are reading this, I hope you are having a great year so far.See More

"Hi Matt, Dunno if you got my message. I could be interested in working with you (and your drummer you mentioned) if you don't mind playing the songs I've learned (mostly girly pop stuff). Send me a message or we could chat at the Miller…"

Luci replied to MUSIC NEWS's discussion If you could turn back time and go to any gig, which one would it be?
"Gigs that I was too young to go to and couldn't have attended anyway, necessarily: Jackson 5, Beatles in Hamburg, Suzi Quatro in Detroit before she was famous, David Bowie in the Ziggy Stardust/Aladdin Sane period. Sex Pistols. Pink Floyd in…"

Defining my current musical aims...

Posted on October 28, 2010 at 17:53 0 Comments

Having been in the doldrums for a bit I'm now focussing on what I want to do musically and defining a way forward.

I like the idea of a flexible gigging unit, where different musicians can participate sometimes, even though there is a core band. Some of the songs I like to sing…

Looking for guitarists and keyboard players

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 21:25 1 Comment

I wanna meet any guitarists and keyboard players who are open to ideas and wanna jam in North London. I have a rehearsal space and know several drummers (including me) and bassists.

I'm particularly interested in contemporary rock, pop and original material. I aim to get a band together and gig.

nice attitude towards the work luci, i admit i am more money motivated than most but i too enjoy playing the most popular songs from past and present because its aimed at the general public rather than specific tastes.the tribute bands i have played in over the years have been always up to date the last being amy lavere.but allways done weddings with the best pop.its where the money is for most of us.
