This is an originals project that I write lyrics and do vocals for. At the moment there are three of us in the project but we are looking for a guitarist. Also, in addition to our originals we are wanting to cover the aul Celtic sound, rocking some of them up in the process, so any fiddlers, accordions, bodhrans, whistles etc etc out there who want to join in the collective give us a shout x

The Belomors www.lemonrock.com/thebelomors
Our band is a covers band with an aversion to Mustang Sally, we are old but not mature a combination of lots of experience in originals bands and covers but each different, we are at a loose end and have to be in a band or our families would kill us for disturbing them so once a week we go into a padded room and make noise and bicker about who will make tea even though it is always me because I only have to set a microphone up and then we practise some songs by other people and say when these are done we will do our own and then we change what we want and someone suggests a stylophone or ukelele to brighten the sound and everyone else rolls their eyes and says 'Stupid Woman' (yes me again) and the drummer makes song suggestions that we all ignore (and I smirk childishly about that) and spills another coke on his drum kit, I try to avoid songs with any small percussion instrument because I have no rhythm or coordination at all and am ashamed of it because even Liam Gallagher can sing and play tambo and he is as thick as sh!te but I like singing White Rabbit because i can sing like a right mad ol biatch then and the others get frightened of me for the rest of the rehearsal and stop moaning about how I make coffee, .....and there are quite a few gigs in the offing - when we get a bleedin guitarist!

As a solo singer I sing folk songs around and about and write some comedy ones too
I also sing songs for other people needed vocals added to recordings and have sung on film soundtracks and with bands having music aired on Radio Caroline etc
I also write PR and Biogs for bands wishing to make press packs and comedy fan pages and have CD reviews released in local press
I am collaborating on a comedy 'on the road' rockumentary and sitcom based on experiences within music
I am arranging a world music festival in Woking next summer with the support of the Borough Council Police and other agencies.....

What do you do for a living?
Write (Including PR for band press packs/CD reviews etc/Teach/Sing
When you do finally 'drop', what song would you like played at your funeral?
Always look on The Bright Side of Life by Monty Python
